It’s been a busy time in my sewing room but not with things I could put on my blog!
I have completed a few tutorials for the fantastic Minerva Crafts which were great fun to do but took ages as I wanted to make sure I was taking pics & adding text that would really help the reader.
With a daughters wedding next year the making for that has begun but it’s all a big secret for now😃
Christmas sewing which will be shared once Santa has carried out his deliveries!
Finally I was lucky enough to take part in pattern testing for Paprika Patterns. The Zircon, which was released this week, is a sweater/dress with a fantastic geometric yoke perfect for wrapping up in for these chilly days.
A stable knit is recommended & I used a lovely soft jersey which makes it a super comfy top but I think I will use a slightly heavier fabric for my next version. There are some fantastic versions pictured on the Paprika Pattens site & if your quick there is a discount on the pattern & suggested fabric.
I haven’t used many PDFs patterns but found this one pieced together easily & the instructions were great. I thought the shaped yoke looked a bit daunting but following the steps slowly it fitted into place neatly. As I was pattern testing I really did make sure I read each instruction fully so I could give helpful feedback.
