Project Sew It’s theme this month prompted me to go through the pattern pile & fabric stash mountain again! I haven’t made a lot of blouses even though I found numerous patterns that I’ve bought over the years
With spring, hopefully, just around the corner i decided to go for something loose that could dress up a pair of jeans.
Not sure what the fabric is but it has a reasonable weight to it so it hangs well & doesn’t crease.
I like the simple lines of this top and as I used a heavily patterned fabric I chose view D but omitted the pocket and collar.
With a fold over facing on front edge & bias facing for armholes the blouse was easily made in an afternoon. For speed I also just overlooked then turned the hem but when I make again I think it would be better to do a rolled hem.
Just can’t wait for the current cold spell to pass to get out in the sunshine in this.
In the meantime I have found at least 3 more fabrics that I could make some more with😃
Really like this! Lovely pattern and fabric!

Thanks. I remember buying the fabric when I was determined I wasn’t buying anything black but wasn’t sure about it so it sat in the pile! Really like it now I’ve used it though😃

Thanks😊I’m thinking of another using some black chiffon I have with the collar & pockets in a back sequinned fabric I also seem to have😂😂I have to use more of my fabric stash to make room for more!

Chiffon and sequins sounds rather stunning. Oh yes, never let there be space in the stash! 🙂

Love this, and totally on trend too. I saw quite a few butterfly tops and dresses when I was in Leeds the other day 😃
